Sometimes the greatest ideas come to you in moments when you least expect them to. A few years ago Pineville native Adrienne Jones was getting ready for work when she threw a pair of leggings on and realized she didn’t have a tunic long enough to cover her rear. So what did she do? Pulled an old tank top out of her dresser, cut the top off and pulled it down around her rump and voila – the idea for CoveRumps was born.
Now residing in Lexington with her husband and two daughters, Jones worked with a manufacturer in New York to create the perfect pattern for CoveRumps and began selling them in 2012 on her website. CoveRumps add a fun chic layer to complete any look whether it be running errands, working out or going out with your friends.

Shortly after CoveRumps launched, Jones was asked participated in the QVC Sprouts Program which focuses on new and undiscovered products. CoveRumps was placed alongside 3 other products for a two week period and at the end of the term QVC fans picked a winner. Although Jones and CoveRumps didn’t win, the buzz around her product was apparent and QVC ended up selling CoveRumps on their website.
The future for Jones and CoveRumps looks exceptionally bright as there is a very good possibility you will be seeing her on ABC’s Shark Tank soon! Jones applied for the show several months ago and was beyond shocked when she received a call back. She’s now in the final stages with Shark Tank and should hear back within the next few months on whether or not they will make it on air. Rest assured if she does, all of us in Kentucky will be cheering her on!

I received a few different colors of CoveRumps to try out and OMG I am in love! As a woman who pretty much lives in leggings and workout capris, I’ve always been self conscious about the junk in my trunk. Since I’m tall, a lot of shirts tend to hit me at the hip and don’t cover my butt and CoveRumps totally takes care of all of that! I love the versatility that they provide in that I can wear them to go workout but dress them up with jeans and a blazer. I was worried that they might ride up when I’m running but that is not the case – they stay perfectly in place! This is seriously one of the greatest products I’ve ever had – I don’t know what I would do without them now!
